 Abstract

The Special Issue is dedicated to manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and reflects the progress and change in interest for topics and research areas that have recently taken place in such enterprises. A wide range of issues concerning operations of SMEs are covered, such as the tactical and strategic decisions, the innovation process and the product design, forecasting and bidding, supply chain management, human resources development and scheduling of the manpower, re-design of production system as well as concerns about project oriented SMEs.
